Poetry Gallery (3)

Poetry Gallery returns for its third edition—an evolving series of public art installations, activations, and collaborations exploring the relationship between spoken word, artist, and audience.
RSVPÂ HERE
At its core, Poetry Gallery is a poetry listening exhibit: poetry is experienced solely through headphones, directing attendees to focus on the spoken word as a sensory experience, stripped of authorial personality, bravado, or showmanship.
Following the second edition featuring work by Angel Prost, Kareem Rahma, Mackenzie Thomas, Victoria Mbabazi, and curator Finlay Mangan, The Kollection returns to 66 Greene once more before shifting locations in May.
Visit us April 20 at our original SoHo home--again curated by Finlay Mangan and amplified by Marshall Headphones--to enjoy ten poetry listening installations by ten non-men writers:
- Monique Erickson
- Maya Kotomori
- Riley Mac
- Isabella Lalonde
- Rhoni Blakenhorn
- Alaska Riley
- Arianna Geneson
- Sam Ronis
- Lynda Hines
- River Ramirez
The pieces will once again be presented in an immersive audio installation format, inviting audiences to engage with the words as pure sound.
‍
Live sets by experimental cello/sax duo KatzPascale will open and close the day (1–2 PM & 6–7 PM). Refreshments provided.
Join us as we reimagine the way poetry is experienced—beyond authorship and performance, into the realm of sound and sensation.
